Audioboom (LON:BOOM) said chartered accountant David McDonagh will take over chief financial officer duties on 18 May.
He joins the spoken-word audio-on-demand mobile platform operator from WideOrbit, the largest sell-side processor of premium advertising in the world, and previously he was head of Finance for Apple iTunes SARL.
McDonagh will report to Audioboom’s chief executive officer Rob Proctor.
"Given the growth prospects and growing complexity of our business, Audioboom is now in need of a high-calibre chief financial officer and we are delighted that David has agreed to join us,” Proctor said.
“He brings a depth of strategic and operational finance experience from private equity start-ups through to the best-known names in technology and innovation, including Apple, Hewlett Packard and Telefonica. David has a track record of delivering commercial results through his financial insight and business partnering skills."
Shares in Audioboom were up 0.3% at 7.65p in lunchtime trading.
