UPDATE - dotDigital awarded 'Gold Partner Status' by Magento

---ADDS BROKER COMMENT AND SHARE PRICE---

dotDigital's (LON:DOTD) dotMailer has been awarded 'Gold Partner Status' by eBay's eCommerce provider to online retailers.

The company has been a partner of Magento for more than two years and launched its 'Magento Connector' last year, which allows e-commerce customers to synchronise data between the two platforms.

It also allows customers to send data and targeted campaigns to prospects and customers.

Since it launched, there has been month-on-month increases in spend per customer from an initial £700 to over £1,200 in March this year.

Through the connector, more than 75 customers, including 7dayshop, Paperchase, World Duty Free, Elemis, Cartridge World, Cabbages & Roses, Lola Rose and Heal's, are using this platform to increase customer spend.

dotDigital chief executive Peter Simmonds said: "I am delighted that after a rigorous vetting process, dotMailer has been awarded this prestigious 'Gold Partnership Status' from our partner Magento, clearly endorsing the unique strengths of our dotMailer platform.

"We believe that this enhanced relationship will prove invaluable to dotDigital particularly through Magento's marketing muscle with opportunities to further promote dotMailer's powerful and unique features to thousands of merchants and retailers worldwide."

The company observed it is one of only four e-mail service providers globally to achieve this status.

Broker N+1 Singer noted this was a strong endorsement of the firm's dotMailer platform and will provide the company with access to 6,000 Magento enterprise retail users worldwide, intensive marketing support from Magento's sales team and social media initiatives.

It also provides for major public relations initiatives targeting Magento's 157 solution partners, and support and collaboration with Magento on dotDigital hosted events.

Analyst Tintin Stormont gave a bullish assessment of the firm's prospects.

"With a consistent record of strong, profitable, cash-generative growth and a high level of recurring revenues, we remain positive and believe its growth prospects are significant."

Shares rose 3.6% to 36 pence each.
