Avia Health Informatics (LON:AVIA) has secured three further contracts for its Odyssey products, including two international contracts with customers in Europe.
Investors liked the news, sending shares in the company up 4.5% in early deals.
Avia’s wholly owned subsidiary Plain Healthcare Limited has agreed to the renewal of a contract with one of its largest customers, a primary healthcare service provider to the NHS.
The contract is for an additional 1 to 3 years for Odyssey TeleAssess & Odyssey FaceToFace at about £150,000 per annum and was secured following a review process.
Avia said that while the two contracts it won in Europe are not significant in terms of total turnover for the current financial year, they illustrate the positive steps being taken by the company to enhance its international business.
“We are very pleased to see the continued commitment to the Odyssey range from our existing and new customers both in the UK and across Europe, highlighting the successful development and use of our Odyssey product range around the world,” said executive chairman of Avia Barry Giddings.
The first deal is an order from a new client for its Odyssey TeleAssess clinical decision support product in the German language to support call centre telephone triage services over the next three years.
The second contract is for bespoke learning and development services for an existing international client.
Earlier this month, Avia announced that Odyssey was available via 3G networks and deployable on mobile touchscreen devices.
The availability on 3G will provide the Odyssey product software range for countries and regions with limited connectivity through Wi-Fi, or other connection options, said Avia.
In addition, Odyssey is now available on various mobile touchscreen devices including the Zoostorm SL8 slate, Panasonic Tough book, Dell XT2 laptop and Arbour M1040, enabling the delivery of Odyssey in a mobile environment.
Avia joined London’s AIM market in November 2009, following a reverse takeover of The Plain Software Company. Subsequently it has progressed Plain’s clinical decision making technology - the Odyssey software suite - by working on new products and applications.
The Odyssey family of products is for use by clinicians and non-clinicians in various environments around the world. The delivery of Odyssey can be in a static or mobile environment from a PC, laptop, tablet or mobile device. The Odyssey range is built on a common medical content database which has been developed over the past 15 years.
