Assays have been received for Montezuma Mining Company's (ASX: MZM) recently completed reverse circulation resource drillout of the Yanneri Ridge manganese deposit.
Results include:
- 23 metres at 11.39% manganese (Mn) from 3m
- 18m at 11.25% Mn from 8m
- 18m at 12.18% Mn from 0m (including 3m at 15.47% Mn); and
- 20m at 13.37% Mn from 1m (including 8m at 17.06% Mn).
Montezuma has previously published an exploration target of between 40 and 50 million tonnes grading between 10% and 15% Mn for Yanneri Ridge.
Snowden’s, who are undertaking the maiden mineral resource estimate calculation, have been supplied with all assay and supporting data.
The resource model will form the basis for a subsequent scoping study to investigate the commercial potential for development of the Yanneri Ridge.
The manganese deposit is one of six discovered within the Butcherbird Project in Western Australia.
