Ferrexpo (LON:FXPO) continued its strong production through December. It continued full capacity production last month, to end a record breaking 2010.
Over the twelve month period Ferrexpo produced 10 million tonnes of iron pellets, a 14.4 percent increase compared to the previous year.
Breaking the numbers down further, Ferrexpo upped production of its two main products, 62 and 65 percent iron pellets, by 15.5 and 13.3 percent respectively in 2010.
Whilst it has had to significantly increase production from third party concentrate to meet demand, it has also managed to increase production from its own ore by 4.9 percent.
In light of its improved, full capacity performance Ferrexpo took the decision to restart a number of growth projects last month. The projects had previously been shelved in 2008.
