Indivior PLC (LON:INDV) has reached an agreement with a group of drug companies to settle litigation over patent infringement of its Suboxone opioid addiction treatment.
The company said it settled with Par Pharmaceutical Inc., Par Pharmaceutical Companies Inc., Endo International PLC (referred to collectively as Par) and IntelGenx Technologies Corp.

The settlement allows Par to begin selling a generic version of Suboxone on 1 January 2023, or earlier under certain unspecified circumstances.
Indivior said other terms of the settlement are confidential.
"We are pleased to have amicably settled another piece of outstanding patent infringement litigation,” said Indivior chief executive Shaun Thaxter.
“We continue to seek greater certainty for Indivior, but on terms that adequately reflect the strength of our intellectual property, including the three new Orange Book patents that have been asserted against the remaining ANDA filers."
