Arev Nutrition Sciences (CSE:AREV), the functional ingredients firm, said it had hired Dr Adrian Wade as the firm's project manager with immediate effect.
The group also told investors it had formed an advisory committee made up of Dr Wade, Dr Christina Juneau and Dr Shabtai Bittman.
Wade is a published analytical chemist and computer scientist who is currently the chief science officer of Alternative Extracts Inc.
He is the co-owner and manager of Ursa Technologies Ltd, which was founded in 1994, and provides chemistry consulting services and undertakes research and development in process analytical chemistry and methods development.
Meanwhile, Dr Juneau the scientific director at TransBIOTech and she holds a BSc in biochemistry and a PhD in food science, both from Universite Laval.
Dr Bittman is a principal research scientist with agriculture and Agri-Food Canada in Agassiz, British Columbia, and previously in Saskatchewan and Nova Scotia, specialising in crop production.
He studied and taught plant ecology at McGill University and crop physiology (water stress) at the University of Saskatchewan.

Arev Nutrition Sciences shares added 1.92% to stand at C$0.53 each.
