Pulse Health turns net profit for start of 2010/11

Healthcare group, Pulse Health (ASX:PHG) has materially exceeded budget performance in July and August and achieved a net profit before tax in both months to commence the 2010/11 financial year.

During the financial year, the Company continued to develop its operational entities in its three main business segments: Private Hospitals, Community Care and Health Recruitment. During the year, the Company sold the businesses of Care on Call and Northside Nursing.

As announced on 31 August 2010, Pulse is considering an offer for an extension of three years to the banking agreement from National Australia Bank.

Current CEO, Dr Kadish has notified Pulse that he has formally accepted an offer to join a large organisation operating in the health care sector.

Justin Matthews, the current chief financial officer, has accepted the Board’s offer of elevation to the CEO position, at a date to be announced.

Stuart James, chairman of Pulse, said, "a strong part of Ian Kadish’s work has been the platforms and people he has introduced to the business, such that there is a strong legacy that will continue on with the initial work he has completed."
