The international provider of technology and intellectual property services, Tekcapital PLC (LON:TEK), has set its sights on Mexico after signing a deal with Bajainnova SAPI de CV to market all of Tekcapital’s services in the country.
Mexico has hundreds of universities, research centres and major corporations, which make it a large potential market for Tekcapital’s technology transfer services, the Oxford-based firm said.
“We are very pleased to announce the formation of a strategic alliance with Bajainnova SAPI de CV to provide technology transfer services throughout Mexico,” said executive chairman Clifford Gross.
Bajainnova – a Mexico-based technology transfer firm – added that there is “strong interest in Tekcapital’s unique services” in the country.
Tekcapital sources technologies and innovations from universities and research institutions around the world and then sells this intellectual property on to its clients.
Shares were up 2% to 37.7p in early deals.
