4:05pm: Avicanna adds to gains late day
Shares of Avicanna Inc (TSX:AVCN) rose 17% to $0.34 as the commercial stage, international biopharmaceutical company revealed the commercialization of its patent-pending, water-soluble technology ‘Influid’ with an initial Viola-branded beverage infuser SKU for the Canadian market.
The company said Influid utilizes nanotechnology to overcome the challenge of solubility and absorption of cannabinoids due to their hydrophobic properties, providing for infusion of a range of cannabinoids into various beverages.
HighGold Mining, meanwhile, closed up 15% to $0.79, while Murchison Minerals surged 25% to $0.125, Wellfield Technologies finished 32% higher to $0.31, and Tartisan Nickel ended up 18% at $0.235.
12:45pm: HighGold Mining, Murchison Minerals makes big gains
HighGold Mining Inc (TSXV:HIGH) shares jumped 16% to $0.80 on Tuesday after the junior explorer announced that it has delivered its best intersection yet from resource infill and expansion drilling at its JT Deposit within the flagship Johnson Tract project in Alaska, which included 120.5 metres of 18.76 grams per tonne (g/t) gold, 3.86% zinc, 0.93% lead, 0.55% copper, and 6 g/t silver (Ag), or 22.1 g/t gold equivalent.
As well, shares of Murchison Minerals Ltd (TSXV:MUR) climbed 35% to $0.135, on volume of more than 4.1 million shares, as the Canada‐based exploration company unveiled results from the second hole at the Barre de Fer (BDF) zone at its wholly-owned Haut-Plateau de la Manicouagan (HPM) project in Quebec, which included what the company called one of the best nickel-sulphide intersections recently from a pre-resource project anywhere in the world.

Wellfield Technologies, Inc (TSXV:WFLD), meanwhile, reported third-quarter 2022 revenue that surged 239% quarter over quarter to $19.3 million. The fintech company noted that it is on track to continue growing revenue through 2023, driven by user acquisition, enhanced monetization of its over 3.5 million registered users, the growth of Wellfield Capital - the company's recently introduced institutional platform - and the launch of its proprietary blockchain protocols.
Wellfield stock popped 40% to $0.33 following the announcement.
And, Tartisan Nickel Corp (CSE:TN) shares gained 18% to $0.235 on Tuesday after the mineral exploration and development company announced that it has closed a private placement of nearly $1.8 million to fund exploration at its Kenbridge nickel project in Ontario.
