G Mining Ventures adds mining law veteran Carlos Vilhena to its board

G Mining Ventures Corp (TSX-V:GMIN, OTCQX:GMINF) has appointed mining law practitioner Carlos Vilhena to its board of directors, effective November 24, the company announced.

Vilhena was the second member nominated by La Mancha Investments as part of an investor rights agreement with G Mining. He is a lawyer and a partner at the law firm of Pinheiro Neto Advogados, based in Brasilia, Brazil, where he is the administrative managing partner of the local office, the company said.

Vilhena also heads the firm's mineral resources law and government relations practices. He has been recognized as one of the top mining law practitioners in Brazil by a number of publications, including the International Who's Who of Mining Lawyers.

"As one of the top mining law practitioners in Brazil, Carlos' deep understanding of the legal landscape in Brazil adds a critical set of skills to our board as we advance construction activities on our fully permitted and financed Tocantinzinho (TZ) project in Pará State,” G Mining CEO Louis-Pierre Gignac said in a statement.

“Engineering and construction at TZ continue to progress substantially according to the planned schedule and budget, and we look forward to continuing to contribute significant value to the local communities through this significant project for the state of Pará."

Vilhena was granted 201,887 incentive stock options exercisable at a price of C$0.66, the company said, in accordance with its stock options plan.

Having completed the TZ project financing, looking ahead the company said it is focused on completing the remaining infill and exploration drilling program in the fourth quarter and dedicated engineering work in the first half of 2023. An inaugural ESG report is also expected in 2023, with first gold production expected in the second half of 2024.
