A day ahead of Black Friday, there will be some more retail action on the UK corporate diary, with Anglo-French DIY group Kingfisher PLC (LSE:KGF) and bootmaker Dr Martens PLC (LSE:DOCS) both due to give updates.
The B&Q and Castorama owner has already warned about the impact of the cost-of-living crisis this year, with September's interim showing a fall in profits as it came up against an exceptional previous year, although on a three-year basis they were higher (see the full Kingfisher preview here).
Dr Martens PLC, meanwhile, “should be well underpinned” ahead of its first-half results released on Thursday, according to analysts at RBC Capital Markets in their preview.
The focus of the cobbler's results for investors will be on retail exit rates in key markets in the US and EMEA over October and November, the RBC analysts said.
