Azure Minerals Ltd (ASX:AZS) has intercepted a very broad zone of high-grade nickel sulphide during resource definition drilling at the Ridgeline deposit, part of its Andover Project in the West Pilbara region of Western Australia, its highest-grade intersection to date.
Hole ANDD0177, the last in the current diamond drill program, hit 18.2 metres at 1.93% nickel, 0.65% copper and 0.08% cobalt from 508.2 metres, including 9.3 metres at 2.58% nickel, 0.75% copper and 0.10% cobalt from 510.5 metres.
The hit confirms strongly mineralised shoots containing massive nickel sulphides remain open down-plunge, providing further upside for resource expansion.
With the last hole drilled, the geological modelling is complete and the company has begun work on the mineral resource estimate.
Ridgeline forms part of the Andover Project (60% Azure/40% Creasy Group), located in the West Pilbara region of Western Australia.

Other ongoing work
Diamond drilling is continuing on other known occurrences of nickel-copper-cobalt mineralisation, including Seaview and Skyline, to follow up on anomalism at Atrium and Pipeline, and testing new prospects at VC-30, VC-31 and VC-32.
As well, project-wide geological mapping and rock chip sampling programs have progressed from detailed exploration of the Southern Mineralised Corridor between Andover and Seaview to the identification of new prospective horizons further to the northeast.
Surface and downhole electromagnetic surveying is also continuing.
The company hopes to complete the processing and interpretation of results from the exploration activities over the coming months to generate future high-priority targets.
