Guild Esports PLC (LSE:GILD, OTCQB:GULDF) said Jasmine Skee has been promoted to chief executive officer and director to “drive the next phase of the company’s growth”.
Skee currently holds the position of chief marketing officer and will replace Kal Hourd, who is leaving the company, with effect from 1 January 2023.
Since joining Guild in March this year, Skee has worked closely with the board, playing a leading role in the delivery of its partnerships with Sky UK and SCL Education, the esports company said.
"Jasmine's appointment opens an exciting new chapter for Guild, as we look to continue the positive growth momentum generated by the partnership deals signed with iconic global brands this year,” said non-executive chairman Derek Lew.
In her 20-year career, Skee has previously held positions across sport, entertainment, media and telecoms, with 10 of those years in senior roles.
Previously, she worked at telecoms group Three UK, Live Nation Entertainment and 02, delivering partnerships and developing and managing marketing strategies.
Additionally, Guild said Jocelin Caldwell has been appointed non-executive director with immediate effect, replacing Mike Edwards who is stepping down to focus on other business interests.
Caldwell co-founded Guild and previously held the position of chief operating officer.
Guild said she has “extensive experience” managing large contracts, working with senior management teams, supervising and motivating staff and building relationships with stakeholders.
The appointment of a non-executive director to further strengthen the board will be announced in due course.
Guild added that it continues to trade in line with management expectations.
