Nevada Copper Corp (TSX:NCU, OTC:NEVDF) has appointed mining veteran Greg Martin as Executive Vice President (EVP) and Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead the restart and ramp-up of the company’s underground mine at the Pumpkin Hollow project in Nevada, effective November 21, 2022.
“We are very pleased that Greg will be joining the company and taking on such a critical role in leading the finance group,” said Randy Buffington, Nevada Copper’s president and CEO said in a statement.
“His experience and leadership in mining, and specifically in Nevada operations, will be crucial in reinforcing the financial rigor needed as we transition through the capital development projects phase of the operational restart at Pumpkin Hollow to mining and milling over the next year.”

“Looking forward, we are making good progress with the open pit prefeasibility study and look forward to Greg’s input at this key stage of development,” Buffington added.
Martin has nearly 30 years of experience in various financial and business development roles, primarily in the mining sector, Nevada Copper said.
He has held senior finance roles in several multi-national mining and mining-related companies, including SSR Mining Inc, where he was CFO from 2012 to 2021, NovaGold Resources Inc (NYSE:GOLD), Finning International (TSX:FTT) Inc, Zincore Metals (TSX:ZNC) Inc and Placer Dome Inc.
Martin has a proven track record of providing leadership through company transitions, growth and development while implementing the fiscal discipline and structure to support sustainable operations, the company noted.
A Certified Professional Accountant (C.G.A.), Martin holds an MBA from the University of Western Ontario and a Bachelor of Applied Science from the University of British Columbia, it added.
Nevada Copper is a copper producer and owner of the Pumpkin Hollow copper project, which has substantial reserves and resources, including copper, gold, and silver.
