Crossword Cybersecurity PLC (AIM:CCS) said it completed a project to expand the scope of its services with the Information Security Incident Response Team (CERT) of the National Cryptologic Centre in Span (CCN).
CCN-CERT has expanded its use of Trillion, Crossword’s cloud-based breached account mining platform, to protect its entire public administration, according to a statement.
Trillion tracks, correlates, and analyses billions of stolen usernames and passwords, Crossword said.
CCN-CERT originally used Trillion in 2020, after the outbreak of Covid, to protect its health infrastructure.
Crossword said that after a period of successful operation, CCN-CERT, which is accountable to the Spanish National Intelligence Centre, decided it needed a wider scope for Trillion, at which point Crossword and CCN-CERT worked together and implemented new features.
Trillion now monitors hundreds of organisations, thousands of domains and reports leaked data on hundreds of thousands of public workers across Spain.
“Working with CCN-CERT, we have used Trillion to create a strong layer of multi-tenanted visibility to help defend against credential misuse, while ensuring that it's easy for organisations to participate and benefit, from universities to hospitals,” said Jon Inns, product director for Arc and Trillion.
