AMC Entertainment Holdings (NYSE:AMC) Inc was basking in the glow of November’s hottest new release Black Panther: Wakanda Forever.
The hotly-anticipated follow-up to 2018’s Marvel smash hit Black Panther, Wakanda Forever set a domestic box office record for films opening during the month of November with weekend ticket sales of $180 million, and $330 million globally.
AMC was the beneficiary as nearly five million moviegoers sat in AMC theatres in the United States and internationally over the weekend, which was the movie chain’s fourth-highest attended weekend globally in 2022.
