Insurer Beazley will be announcing some large losses when it updates on Friday, according to Citi.
The large loss figure will be something in the region of US125mln, suggests the US bank, while French weather events seen at the tail end of the second quarter are likely to produce a loss of US$20mln.
Add in a weaker investment performance and the bank expects a 45% reduction on its previous earnings estimate.
UK GDP numbers, meanwhile, are predicted to see a further slowing of the economy with shrinkage of between 0.1% and 0.5% predicted (read the full preview now).
