ClearVue Technologies Ltd (ASX:CPV, OTCQB:CVUEF) has tapped façade industry veteran Clifton Smyth to lead the company’s global sales and marketing efforts as Global Business Development director effective immediately.
With more than 20 years of experience across multiple geographies, Smyth brings immediate value to the smart building materials company as it embarks on its international expansion.
At ClearVue, Smyth will oversee sales growth, secure licensing agreements, generate formal and informal partnerships and oversee global supply chain management.
Great asset
Previously a senior executive with McMullen Facades Ltd, part of the JRL Group–UK, Smyth was responsible for building sustainable long-term relationships with existing and new clients, develop work winning strategies, de-risking projects technically and commercially, and successfully transferring secured projects to the construction teams.
In addition, Smyth has been responsible for global supply chain management, overseeing multiple office and production facilities in Europe and the Middle East and supporting and growing key stakeholder relationships.
Smyth has also held senior positions with Lindner Group, Multiforms and Kann Finch Group (UAE).
Vital appointment

Solar glass
ClearVue operates in the Building Integrated Photovoltaic (BPIV) sector, which involves the integration of solar technology into building surfaces, specifically glass and building façades, to provide renewable energy.
The company has developed advanced glass technology that aims to preserve glass transparency to maintain building aesthetics whilst generating electricity.
Its electricity-generating glazing technology is strategically positioned to complement and make more compelling, the increased use of energy-efficient windows now being regulated in response to global climate change and energy efficiency goals.
The window technology has application for use in the building and construction and agricultural industries, among others.
