Brand Architekts Group PLC (LSE:BAR) shares were smeared lower after the British beauty brand boutique reported lower sales and wider losses for the past year.
Underlying operating losses for the year to end-June grew to £1.8mln from £0.3mln last time, on revenue that fell 10% to £14.3mln, or was down 15% if excluding the acquisition of Innovaderma, which was completed on 31 May.
This followed the refocusing of the strategy last year to focus on profitability, with seven brands relaunched in autumn last year: Dr Salts, Root Perfect, Argan +, SenSpa, Kind Natured, Happy Naturals and Beautopia.
Chief executive Quentin Higham said: "The acquisition of Innovaderma was a significant milestone for the group. We now have an improved portfolio of core brands that we can scale, as well as realising the benefits of a number of cost synergies."
The shares were down 18% to 25.75p by mid afternoon.
