Tintra shares rise on promising business update

FCA application brings AI-led fintech company closer to becoming an authorised financial institution

Tintra PLC (AIM:TNT) shares jumped 2.6% to 225.71p today following a promising business update.

The artificial intelligence-led fintech and e-commerce company’s wholly owned subsidiary, Tintra Money Limited, submitted an application and required accompanying documentation to the UK Financial Conduct Authority to become an authorised electronic money institution.

Chief executive officer Richard Shearer said: "The structural measures announced today are an essential and perhaps final part of the transition.”

Tintra shares are now over 329% up year to date.
