Junior explorer jumps on copper results: Proactive’s daily small cap movers

Broad intervals of porphyry-style copper mineralization boosted shares of a junior explorer Monday, plus other big percentage movers on news from the small and microcap space

4:05pm: American Eagle Gold, Thesis Gold gains accelerate late afternoon

American Eagle Gold Corp (TSXV:AE) shares climbed 529% to $0.22, on volume of more than 22.2 million shares, Monday after the junior explorer reported assay results from NAK22-01, the first hole of its 2022 program on its flagship NAK copper-porphyry property in British Columbia, which included 126 metres (m) of 1.02% copper equivalent from surface.

American Eagle noted that all five holes drilled on NAK have intersected “broad intervals of porphyry-style mineralization from surface to end-of-hole, the longest of which was 984m”.

As well, shares of SilverCrest Metals Inc (TSX:SIL) gained 12% to $8.14 as the precious metals exploration and production company said it has declared commercial production at its Las Chispas Mine in Mexico, effective November 1, 2022, which is based on achieving a continuous two month period operating the processing plant at a minimum of 80% capacity for its name plate design of 1,250 tonnes per day (tpd), or 1,000 tpd and showing a combined gold and silver recovery or silver equivalent recovery of greater than 85%.

ARway Corporation (CSE:ARWY), meanwhile, reported that its shares are now available for trading in the US on the OTC Pink Sheet Open Market under the ticker symbol ‘ARWYF.’

The no-code spatial computing platform for the real-world metaverse added that it is in the process of up-listing from the OTC Pink Sheet Open Market to the OTCQB Venture Market. ARway stock popped 33% to $1.98 following the announcement.

In addition, shares of Thesis Gold Inc (TSXV:TAU) moved up 11% to $0.94 as the mineral exploration company revealed early results from this year's summer drilling at its flagship project in British Columbia, which have "significantly" expanded historical zones and further shown the "connectivity and scalability" of mineralization and has included an intercept of 1.81 grams per tonne (g/t) gold and 8.41 g/t silver over 91m starting from just 19m depth.

And, QC Copper and Gold Inc (TSXV:QCCU) shares rose 10% to $0.17 on Monday after the explorer and project developer announced drill results from 11 holes with multiple wide stacked intersections of copper mineralization along with high gold grades near the southern edge Opemiska's conceptual open pit in Quebec, which included 2.5 g/t gold and 0.5% copper over 16.5m from 111m.

QC Copper said the results continue to confirm Opemiska's historical mine results and indicate that much higher gold grades can be found near the Gwillim Fault.
