ATOME Energy PLC (AIM:ATOM) has signed a non-binding Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with fuel distributor Puma Energy over hydrogen supplies for transportation purposes (mobility) in Paraguay.
Puma has been operating in Paraguay since 2002 and supplies fuel to approximately 200 service stations from three terminals.
ATOME added that the MOU provides a framework for definitive agreements to supply clean fuels for Puma's fuel transportation trucks.
Other agreements might cover developing a clean energy supply corridor along Puma's service station network; hydrogen storage, offtakes and the use of clean fuels on push boats.
Olivier Mussat, ATOME’s chief executive, said: “This MOU with Puma provides a non-binding framework to discuss and negotiate one or more definite agreements centring around the use and offtake of our dedicated mobility hydrogen production unit across the Puma network in Paraguay.
"Puma is a reputable established Paraguay energy company with an extensive fuel network in Paraguay.”
