Musgrave Minerals Ltd (ASX:MGV, OTC:MGVMF) has fielded more high-grade gold during extensional drilling at the White Heat-Mosaic prospect, part of the Break of Day trend at the cornerstone Cue Gold Project in Western Australia.
Drilling beyond the current resource boundary hit 4 metres at 7.6 g/t gold from 2 metres, extending the high-grade mineralisation closer to surface.
In addition, infill reverse circulation drilling has confirmed the gold grade and continuity in the region, intersecting:
- 5 metres at 80.2 g/t gold from 12 metres, including 2 metres at 194.5 g/t from 12 metres;
- 8 metres at 19.8 g/t from 37 metres, including 3 metres at 49.7 g/t from 38 metres;
- 5 metres at 43.9 g/t from 89 metres, including 1-metre at 176 g/t from 89 metres;
- 7 metres at 8.1 g/t from 66 metres, including 1-metre at 49.4 g/t from 69 metres;
- 3 metres at 17.6 g/t from 3 metres; and
- 2 metres at 20 g/t from 96 metres.

Musgrave managing director Rob Waugh said: “These are another strong set of results and confirm the exceptional high grades in the near-surface gold mineralisation at White Heat-Mosaic.
“The deposits, including White Heat-Mosaic along the high-grade Break of Day trend, will be a cornerstone of future development of the Cue Gold Project.”
What’s next?
Assays are pending for 51 more RC holes, drilled during an infill and extensional campaign over Cue’s Big Sky prospect.
In the meantime, diamond drilling is underway and RC drilling will recommence at the Waratah prospect in mid-November.
Metallurgical test-work on the Big Sky and White Heat-Mosaic deposits is also underway, with preliminary gold recovery data expected in December.
On the development front, Musgrave’s stage one pre-feasibility study — covering the initial years of production at the Cue project — is scheduled for completion in the first quarter of 2023.
Evolution JV update
Beyond the work program at Cue, Musgrave is advancing exploration within its Evolution joint venture (JV) project.
Diamond drilling to test the basement beneath regolith gold mineralisation at the Lake Austin prospect continues, with efforts focused on the West Island target.
The current phase of regional aircore drilling, designed to identify additional targets for diamond drill testing, is also near completion.
Finally, assays are pending for multiple diamond and aircore drill holes that will shape Musgrave’s next steps at the property.
Cue Gold Project is approximately 30 kilometres south of the township of Cue in the Murchison district of Western Australia.
The southern area gold deposits are only 5 kilometres from the Great Northern Highway, about 600 kilometres north of Perth on tenure wholly owned by Musgrave.
