TNR Gold Corp (TSX-V:TNR, OTC:TRRXF) executive chair Kirill Klip tells Proactive's Stephen Gunnion that a drill program at the Los Azules copper project in San Juan, Argentina, in which it holds a 0.4% net smelter returns (NSR) royalty, is moving ahead, with more than 2,000 metres already drilled.
He says a $25 million investment by Rio Tinto Limited's copper leaching technology venture, Nuton, means McEwen can look beyond feasibility studies to the eventual construction of the project.
McEwen has also entered into a collaboration agreement with Nuton to explore the potential application of heap leach technology at Los Azules, he adds.
