SinglePoint subsidiary Boston Solar benefitting from solar tax credit provisions of Inflation Reduction Act

With changes from the IRA, the tax credit is currently 26% but will be increased to 30% of the expenses for an additional ten years

SinglePoint Inc subsidiary Boston Solar has hit a milestone in the growth of its solar installations and purchases, having completed more than 5,000 installations in 11 years.

Boston Solar is the leading residential solar contractor based in Massachusetts, the company said, and is working on significant commercial projects such as the solar installation for Fenway Park’s MGM Music Hall.

Projects of that scale have gotten a little easier thanks to the passing of the Inflation Reduction Act (IRA) of 2022, the company said, which boosted the solar investment tax credit.

Specifically, with changes from the IRA, the tax credit is currently 26% but will be increased to 30% of the expenses for an additional 10 years. That applies to the cost of solar panels, installation labor, energy storage devices and some sales tax.

Boston Solar’s mission is to provide superior clean energy products, having installed more than 5,000 residential and commercial solar arrays powering thousands of homes and businesses since its founding in 2011.

SinglePoint is a sustainable lifestyle company in the solar energy and air purification markets.
