Tempus Resources Ltd (ASX:TMR, TSX-V:TMRR) has identified multiple new vein extensions and visible gold in the 2022 drilling program at the Elizabeth Gold project, a program the company considers its “most successful to date”.
Tempus drilled 40 holes over multiple prospects and target areas at Elizabeth, with results indicating possible mineralised extensions to the West, Main, No.9 and Blue Veins.
The company expanded Blue Vein to 300 metres of strike, having drawn 8 “bonanza” grade intersections of over one ounce of gold per tonne from the prospect, which remains open to further exploration down-dip and along strike.
TMR encountered visible gold in drill core just 75 metres to the south of Blue Vein, extending the high-grade vein in that direction as well.
Three drill holes with visible gold have pointed to a potential high-grade extension of the No.9 vein, although assays are still pending for 10 holes drilled here.
Tempus has also identified a potential new vein discovery at the Ella Zone prospect, about 400 metres to the southeast of the main Elizabeth Gold Project tenure.
Multiple open high-grade vein zones
“We have completed a record year at the Elizabeth Project with 40 holes drilled,” Tempus Resources president and CEO Jason Bahnsen said.
“We have significantly expanded our vein sets in development with the addition of the No. 9 and the Blue Veins as priority targets alongside the SW Vein, Main and West Veins plus the potential of the new Ella Zone.
“It’s a truly wonderful evolution for the project to now have multiple open high-grade vein zones in development, a great credit to our exploration team!”
27 assays from the 2022 program at Elizabeth are still pending, including four holes with visible gold in drill core.
Of particular note are potential discovery holes for the Ella Zone prospect and extensions of No. 9 Vein, West Vein and Main Vein, the results from which may reveal new mineralised zones for further investigation.
