Symphony Environmetal says its products increasingly seen as ESG toolkits after successful K Show

The company noted that new d2w and d2p business was progressed at the show and it is optimistic that a number of these discussions will swiftly progress to the group's active project pipeline and thereafter convert into meaningful revenues

Symphony Environmental Technologies PLC (AIM:SYM) has said it is "optimistic" after progressive and advanced discussions with potential customers at the K show, the world’s largest plastic and rubber trade fair.

The company said it met 250 potential customers and 10 strategic partners between 19 to 26 October at the show held in Düsseldorf, Germany, which has attracted over 220,000 people in previous years.

In a statement, Symphony chief executive, Michael Laurier said: "Our conversations with customers at the K Show also confirmed, after the significant and continued investment in R&D made by the Company, that our solutions are increasingly being regarded as an ESG toolkit, capable of fast and cost-efficient deployment by public and private sector entities alike."

Symphony specialises in the development of biodegradable plastic technologies, tackling microplastic pollution by turning them into biodegradable materials, known as ‘d2w,’ as well as additives that protect plastics against bacteria and viruses, called ‘d2p.’

The company noted that new d2w and d2p business was progressed at the show and it is optimistic that a number of these discussions will swiftly progress to the group's active project pipeline and thereafter convert into meaningful revenues.

It noted that the potential customers met by the Symphony team over the eight days hailed from a diverse range of industries including automotive, pharmaceutical, medical, agricultural, hygiene and waste management.
