Golden Rim Resources Ltd (ASX:GMR) is transitioning its leadership and will welcome Tim Strong as its new chief executive officer on November 1.
Strong will replace Craig McKay, who will step down as managing director and CEO after 15 years with the company.
“Craig has made an enormous contribution to Golden Rim including having achieved a number of gold discoveries," chairman Adonis Pouroulis said.
"He has played a pivotal role in steering the company’s projects to advanced stages and he has been the driving force behind the Kada Gold Project, placing the company on the path to project development,”

Experience goes out, experience comes in
Strong has more than 13 years’ experience on six continents as an economic geologist, with commodity experience including gold, copper, cobalt, nickel, lead and zinc.
His main focus has been on West African shear-hosted orogenic gold and he has worked on a range of projects from target generation through to exploration planning and strategy, resource estimation and feasibility level studies.
Strong was a key figure in the resource drill out of the Yaouré gold deposit in Cote d’Ivoire (Amara Mining/Perseus Mining) as well as running near mine exploration for Resolute Mining in Mali.
He has also been involved with the raising of seed capital and pre-IPO financing for private companies through an extensive network of European and North American investors.
GMR will also benefit from his joint venture negotiation, investor relations and capital raising experience.
