Allergy Therapeutics PLC (AIM:AGY, OTC:AGYTF) is set to resume operations at its Freeman facility in Worthing, UK from November 14.
The AIM-listed biotech company voluntarily paused production following an internal review of its current operating processes as part of a previously communicated ongoing programme to improve the robustness of and build capacity across its manufacturing facilities.
Since the pause in production of its allergen immunotherapy products occurred during spring’s pollen season, the company estimates that 2023 revenues will be approximately 13% to 18% lower than market expectations of £80mln at current exchange rates.
Business expenses for the same period are currently expected to reduce by around £3mln.
Chief executive officer Manuel Llobet said: "We took the difficult decision to temporarily pause production at the Freeman facility to continue delivering the highest standards of quality systems. We are now pleased to have a clear timeline to resume our UK manufacturing activities."
