4:05pm: mCloud Technologies rallies late day
Outcrop Silver & Gold Corporation (TSXV:OCG) shares climbed 13% to close at $0.305 on Thursday after the precious metals explorer and project developer announced the results of nine core holes designed to test the continuity at depth of the Las Maras shoot on its 100% owned Santa Ana silver project in Colombia, which included 2.14 metres (m) true width of 2,032 grams equivalent silver per tonne.
Outcrop noted that recent drilling extends Las Maras shoot to 370m depth, the deepest high-grade mineralization drilled to date on Santa Ana project.
As well, shares of Auxico Resources Canada Inc (CSE:AUAG) added as much as 10% before ending unchanged at $0.52 as the mineral properties explorer and developer said it has signed a joint-venture agreement that will provide the company with a new potential source of revenue from high-grade tin trading operations in Colombia.
The agreement gives Auxico a 70% profit share on all sales of tin ore executed with Gracor SAS.
North American Construction Group Ltd (TSX:NOA), meanwhile, reported record third-quarter revenue of C$191.4 million, up from C$166.0 million in the same period last year, while recording adjusted earnings per share of $0.65, up from $0.50 a year earlier. North American Construction Group stock popped 12% to $17.40 following the announcement.
In addition, shares of mCloud Technologies Corp (TSXV:MCLD) surged 36% to $1.70 as the provider of AI-powered asset management and Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) solutions announced that it had entered into a strategic partnership with Google Cloud to launch three AI-powered sustainability applications combining the company's AssetCare platform with the power and reach of Google Cloud and additional services such as Google Earth Engine.
And, GameSquare Esports Inc (CSE:GSQ) shares gained as much as 20% before closing unchanged at $0.10, on volume of more than 2.2 million shares, Thursday after the digital media and entertainment company announced revenue guidance for its 2023 fiscal year of US$45 million to US$50 million and gross margin of 35-40%, a 65% increase over its 2022 guidance.
