MusicMagpie launches B2B device subscription service

MusicMagpie Circular is its tech-trade service, where the London-listed company recycles old technology

MusicMagpie PLC, the second-hand electronics marketplace, has launched of a corporate device subscription service and named Stagecoach as its first major customer.

Starting at £13 a month per device, businesses will be able to rent and manage Apple iPhones and iPads, extending its ‘musicMagpie Circular’ offering, it said.

MusicMagpie Circular is its tech-trade service, where the London-listed company recycles old technology.

Standard subscriptions are 24 months, a statement to the London Stock Exchange said, and includes an extended warranty and online management tools.

The service has “several benefits”, saving companies time, money and supporting ESG goals, it said.

Manchester-headquartered MusicMagpie said it is partnering with IT-managed services provider, Utelize Mobile for its subscription and recycling services.

Customers through the partnership are provided with an online portal and support function, which ensures the management of a device through its entire lifecycle, it said.

Matt Harrison, chief development and partnership officer at MusicMagpie Circular said, “Our proposition of giving businesses a way to lower their upfront device investment costs through a monthly subscription, while also contributing to the circular economy, becomes increasingly attractive."
