Greencoat UK Wind PLC (LSE:UKW) has announced that, following a rigorous selection process, its board has appointed Lucinda Riches to be its chairman following the company's 2023 Annual General Meeting (AGM).
The FTSE 250-listed company noted that Riches has served as a non-executive director on its board since 2019 and was appointed as senior independent director earlier this year.
She will replace Shonaid Jemmett-Page, who has served as Greencoat UK Wind's chair since 2020, and as a non-executive director since 2012, who has confirmed her intention to retire with effect from the conclusion of the 2023 AGM.
In a statement, Jemmett-Page said: "I have greatly enjoyed being involved with Greencoat UK Wind since its listing. Over those 10 years the Company has built a strong track record and I am very confident that it will be in good hands with Lucinda Riches as my successor. "
Riches added: " On behalf of the Board, I would like to thank Shonaid for her highly valued contribution to the Company. I look forward to assuming my new role as Chair from April next year. "
