Ocuphire Pharma (NASDAQ:OCUP) founder and CEO Mina Sooch tells Proactive's Stephen Gunnion that the company expects to file a New Drug Application for Nyxol, an eye drop aimed at reversing pharmacologically-induced mydriasis, presbyopia, and night vision disturbances, by the end of the year.
Sooch explains that Ocuphire is a clinical-stage, ophthalmic biopharmaceutical company focused on developing and commercializing small-molecule therapies for the treatment of refractive and retinal eye disorders.
She also discusses Ocuphire’s second product candidate, APX3330, an oral tablet designed to inhibit angiogenesis and inflammation pathways relevant to retinal and choroidal vascular diseases, such as diabetic retinopathy and diabetic macular edema.
