Creo Medical Group PLC (AIM:CREO) said it has signed a non-exclusive intellectual property licence and a royalty agreement to integrate aspects of its technology in CMR Surgical’s Versius surgical robotics business.
Licensing terms and commercial royalties have been agreed but were undisclosed, though the agreement falls within its Kamaptive licensing programme, Creo added. Creo's Kamaptive licensing programme identifies partners to license and develop its endoscopy technology for adjacent and complementary markets.
CMR Surgical's Versius is a next-generation surgical robot currently performing routine and complex laparoscopic procedures worldwide across gynaecology, colorectal surgery, thoracic surgery, general surgery, and urology.
In a statement, Craig Gulliford, Creo’s CEO, said: "We are delighted to announce our second robotics partnership through our Kamaptive programme with CMR Surgical. Exploring the use of our technology in the fast-growing robotic surgery space with another prestigious partner provides further validation of our technology and its versatility."
Creo’s first Kamaptive agreement was signed in May with another robotic technology group, Intuitive.
