Nexus Minerals Ltd (ASX:NXM) has begun the process of chasing down several high-priority drill targets at the Wallbrook Gold Project in Western Australia, kicking-off a regional aircore program set to drill 10,000 metres at two initial targets – MC4.2 and MC3.1.
The company has leveraged geophysical interpretations of gravity and magnetic survey datasets to identify several regional gold targets at the project.
A review of geological structure, alteration and layering (lithologies) across these targets allowed Nexus to rank them in order of potential, ultimately indicating the presence of a second mineralised corridor (MC5) in parallel to the west of MC1.

High potential to host mineralisation
“It is great to see the aircore rig turning again exploring the regional targets identified as part of the geophysical assessment,” Nexus Minerals managing director Andy Tudor said.
“The assessment program also included structural, alteration and lithological inputs to allow ranking of targets for drill testing.
“The first two targets MC4.1 and MC3.1 fit all of the criteria required to host significant gold mineralisation.”
Nexus is also working on resource modelling for the Templar-Crusader prospect’s mineral resource at Wallbrook, and intends to complete a follow-up reverse circulation (RC) drilling program in the area.
