KULR Technology Group Inc (NYSE:KULR) said it has received a production prototype order for its SafeCase product from a top power tool manufacturer looking for a reusable, safe, and high-energy battery transportation and storage solution.
KULR said the power tool manufacturer is a leader in sustainability and safety within the industrial tool and household hardware sectors, and an active participant in initiatives around lithium-ion battery safety, transportation, education, and recycling.
The San Diego-based company said SafeCase was selected for its ability to provide both standard and custom case sizes, along with cost-effective warehouse storage for fire safety and for transportation. This includes special permits from the US Department of Transportation for safe shipping of lithium-ion batteries.

KULR said SafeCase is tailored for commercial lithium-ion battery markets, including power tools.
KULR said it is the only company in the world with a product approved by the US Department of Transportation for storage and transport of lithium-ion batteries that can manage up to a capacity of 2.5 kWh for recycled, prototype and damaged, defective and recall batteries.
