Cloudbreak Discovery PLC (LSE:CDL) reported positive results from a reconnaissance surface programme at its Foggy Mountain copper-gold-silver project in British Columbia, Canada and said it will concentrate on finding a partner for the project.
The programme confirmed three of the four historic mineral occurrences (the fourth area was not included in the programme). Results from seven grab samples showed grades of more than 1% copper.
"These encouraging results seen at one [of] our early-stage targets demonstrate how Cloudbreak can generate interesting ideas with potentially significant exploration upside for our partner,” said chief executive Kyler Hardy.
“British Columbia remains a globally significant source of copper with many valid unexplored or under-explored targets.”
Cloudbreak has completed prospecting and mapping across the central portion of Foggy Mountain. The property, which was staked in April 2022, is located immediately east of the past producing Kemess Mine.
"With Foggy Mountain located at the south end of the Toodoggone region, the project is well situated, lying on trend with several past-producers, and has mineralization which has been described as comparable to that of Kemess,” Hardy said.
“Our focus is now on identifying a partner to further explore Foggy Mountain and if successful, develop the project to its full potential."
