Appia Rare Earths & Uranium Corp. (CSE:API, OTCQB:APAAF) has announced the appointment of Gary Delaney as a consultant and advisor to the company’s board of directors.
Delaney, who has a doctorate in geology from the University of Western Ontario, is a former chief geologist of the Saskatchewan Geological Survey (SGS), where he fostered a strong relationship with mining and mineral exploration companies active in Saskatchewan, made several trips to Australia, China, Japan and South Korea to profile Saskatchewan's mineral sector and the investment opportunities it offers.
Delaney also worked as a research geologist for Cominco Ltd at the Sullivan Mine in British Columbia, according to the company.

In connection with the appointment, Appia said Delaney has been granted 200,000 share purchase options, exercisable at $0.60 per share for five years.
Appia is a Canadian publicly-listed company in the rare earth element and uranium sectors. The company is currently focussing on delineating high-grade critical rare earth elements and gallium on the Alces Lake property, as well as exploring for high-grade uranium in the prolific Athabasca Basin on its Otherside, Loranger, North Wollaston, and Eastside properties.
