Aldoro Resources begins ground survey work at Narndee

The IP surveys are targeting potential nickel-copper-PGE mineralisation at the project where the nickel-copper mineralisation model is based on the Callisto nickel-copper discovery of Galileo Mining in the Fraser Range.

Aldoro Resources Ltd (ASX:ARN) has Induced Polarisation (IP) surveying underway at survey areas targeting potential nickel-copper-PGE (platinum group elements) mineralisation at the Narndee Project in WA.

High-powered IP surveys are planned over three target areas – Targets 1, 2 and 3 - identified from reinterpreted EM and past drilling results.

Narndee's nickel-copper mineralisation model is based on the Callisto nickel-copper deposit in the Fraser Range held by Galileo Mining Ltd (ASX:GAL) at which strong results are being returned, providing encouragement for Aldoro.

Target 1 work

The IP surveying is underway at Target 1 and the planned east-west survey lines cover previous drilling at VC01 and an area to the east.

At VC01 nickel-copper mineralisation was intersected up to 2.9 metres 0.92% nickel and 0.40% copper at the base of the ultramafic cumulate where they interface with mafics (including sediment) where this contact appears to dip to the east.

It is interpreted that the mineralisation may thicken to the east and three IP lines will extend 1-kilometre to the east to test the mineralisation model.

The sounding stations will be spaced at 40 metres apart over 1,000 metres and this is expected to provide IP soundings to a depth of 800 metres.

Other targets

Target 2 lies 500 metres north of Target 1 and is based on a very strong aeromagnetic anomaly associated with VTEM and the PGE geochemical anomalies as well as surface gossans.

Another 2,600 metres to the north is Target 3, which forms the southern part of a large, strong VTEM anomaly with overlapping aeromagnetic anomaly and includes nickel geochemical anomalies.

It is interpreted that the sulphide body could be significantly deeper than Target 2 and as such three 1,200-metre east-west lines are proposed with 31 stations.

Given the depth that may be involved, this survey will only be conducted if Target 2 resolves conductive anomalies at depth.
