A US$100 million plus revenue truck order sparked shares of a commercial electric vehicles supplier Monday, plus other big percentage movers on news from the small and microcap space

4:05pm: Vicinity Motor, Troilus Gold up

Vicinity Motor Corp. (TSX-V:VMC) shares surged 19% to close at $1.65 on Monday after the North American supplier of commercial electric vehicles announced the receipt of a purchase order (PO) for 1,000 VMC 1200 Class 3 Electric Trucks from Pioneer Auto Group, Vicinity's exclusive dealer in British Columbia.

The order, which exceeds US$100 million in revenue, will see Vicinity delivering a minimum of 1,000 units of the electric trucks by the end of 2023, with deliveries expected to begin this month.

As well, shares of Troilus Gold Corp (TSX:TLG, OTCQX:CHXMF) added as much as 13% before ending up 4% at $0.365 as the gold junior announced assay results from the ongoing 11,000-metre drill campaign at its Troilus Project in Quebec, which included 4.4 grams per tonne (g/t) gold equivalent over 46 metres as well as “the single highest-grade interval ever drilled at the Troilus Mine site.”

Cannabix Technologies Inc (CSE:BLO), meanwhile, reported that it has developed what it called a suite of cutting-edge Contactless Alcohol Breathalyzer (CAB) for workplaces and vehicles, which include wall-mounted and in-vehicle (behind the steering column) versions.

The developer of cannabis breathalyzer technologies for law enforcement and the workplace noted it is seeking potential partners to commercialize its CAB technology. Cannabix stock popped 12% to $0.65 following the announcement.

In addition, shares of San Lorenzo Gold Corp (TSXV:SLG) jumped 80% to $0.09 on volume of more than 1.3 million shares as the mineral exploration company provided assay results from the Cabello Muerto Zone (CMZ Zone) at its flagship Salvadora property in Chile, which included an intercept of 1.2% copper equivalent over 112 metres in porphyry-style alteration.

And, Murchison Minerals Ltd (TSX-V:MUR, OTCQB:MURMF, TSX-V:MUR.V) shares rose 12% to $0.095 on Monday after the junior explorer said portable x-ray fluorescence (pXRF) analysis of results from its final three diamond drill holes at the Barre de Fer (BDF) zone have further demonstrated that the area remains open and unconstrainted along strike and at depth.

The company said the drill holes successfully tested for mineralization along strike to the north and south of the BDF zone, intersecting shallow high-grade nickel-sulphide mineralization and extending the overall strike length of known mineralization to 370 metres.
