KULR Technology returns to the Indianapolis 500 with Marco Andretti; racing dynasty driver to be brand ambassador

"Marco Andretti's dedication to his craft and the motorsport industry are just some of the reasons we believe he is the perfect person to represent KULR Technology as we continue to expand our energy management platform," said KULR COO Keit

KULR Technology Group Inc (NYSE:KULR) said it is returning as a sponsor of Marco Andretti, driver of the number 98 KULR Technology Honda for the 2023 Indianapolis 500.

The third-generation IndyCar Series driver from the legendary Andretti Family will also represent KULR at various events and engagements, including the upcoming Equip Exposition, according to the company.

KULR Technology COO Keith Cochran said the company is thrilled to welcome Andretti back as a KULR ambassador.

"Marco authentically embodies the spirit of our brand. His dedication to his craft and the motorsport industry are just some of the reasons we believe he is the perfect person to represent KULR Technology as we continue to expand our energy management platform," Cochran said in a statement.

KULR said its alliance with the “first family” of auto racing was formed in early 2021 in partnership with Andretti Technologies, the advanced technology arm of Andretti Autosport, with the goal of improving performance by mitigating risk.

This year, KULR and ATEC have built upon this by continuing to focus on thermal management and battery safety solutions, such as KULR's SafeCase, the company said, adding this is the beginning of a larger scale performance in the motorsports industry.

Andretti Autosport CEO and racing legend Michael Andretti said their team is happy to have KULR continue as primary sponsor for a second year.

"The development potential of KULR's technology is exciting and we're proud of their commitment to improving performance. We look forward to this special event in May and are happy to have them back with Marco," Andretti said.

KULR said it has long been a leading developer of next-generation lithium-ion battery safety and thermal management products and services, including successes such as being a part of the 2020 Mars Rover mission.

Andretti Autosport has won four IndyCar Series championships and boasts over 250 race wins, including five Indy 500 wins. Its team has moved from traditional, gas-powered racing vehicles into electric vehicles, according to KULR.

San Diego, California-based KULR manufactures and licenses next-generation carbon fibre thermal management technologies for batteries and electronic systems. By leveraging its roots in developing breakthrough cooling solutions for NASA space missions and its IP portfolio, KULR enables leading aerospace, electronics, and electric vehicle manufacturers to make their products cooler, lighter and safer for the consumer.
