Copper Fox Metals completes metallurgical drilling program at Schaft Creek project

The company said 11 drill holes for a total of 4,688 meters were sunk, with samples collected from across the three Schaft Creek mineralization zones comprising six in Liard, three in Paramount and two in West Breccia

Copper Fox Metals Inc (TSX-V:CUU, OTCQX:CPFXF) said it has completed the metallurgical drilling program at its Schaft Creek copper-gold-molybdenum-silver project in northwestern British Columbia (BC).

Eleven drill holes for a total of 4,688 meters (m) were sunk, with samples collected from across the three Schaft Creek mineralization zones comprising six in Liard, three in Paramount and two in West Breccia, the company told investors in an update.

"The metallurgical drilling program was focused on collecting samples within the five-year mine pit plan across the Schaft Creek mineralization zones and provided additional information on mineralogy, alteration and controls on the mineralization to inform the sample selection for the metallurgical testwork program,” Elmer B. Stewart, president and CEO of Copper Fox, said in the statement.

“Analytical results from the 2022 drilling program are pending and will be announced on receipt and completion of QA/QC procedures," he added.

The Schaft Creek project is managed through the Schaft Creek Joint Venture (SCJV), where Teck Resources is the operator with a 75% interest and Copper Fox holding the remaining 25% interest.

In addition to the drill program, Copper Fox also updated LiDAR and Orthophoto data for geotechnical and project planning purposes and repositioned the weather camera to camp to monitor snow levels over the winter.

Upgrades to the online Schaft Creek Climate Station as well as the expansion of kitchen and camp facilities for future programs were also carried out, while continued hydrology and water sampling with Environmental Data Suitability Analysis will begin in the fourth quarter.

Copper Fox is a Tier 1 Canadian resource company focused on copper exploration and development in Canada and the United States. The principal assets of Copper Fox and its wholly-owned Canadian and United States subsidiaries, being Northern Fox Copper Inc. and Desert Fox Copper Inc., are the 100% ownership of the Van Dyke oxide copper project located in Miami, Arizona and the 25% interest in the SCJV.
