US Solar Fund PLC (LSE:USF) has said it is carrying out a strategic review that it will consider all available options, including a sale of the company.
The investment company, which invests in solar energy assets primarily in the US, said “structural challenges in the US solar sector alongside a recent sustained discount of the share price to its net asset value have impeded the company’s ability to grow its asset base”.
It has appointed Jefferies International Limited and KeyBanc Capital Markets as joint financial advisers and Cenkos Securities as joint corporate broker to assist it with the strategic review.
There is no certainty that any changes will result from the strategic review, the company noted, adding that at the time of today’s announcement, it has not received any approach or is in talks with any potential offeror.
