Developer Inland Homes PLC (AIM:INL), said it been granted approval to build 1,525 homes and 2,700sqm of commercial space at Cavalry Barracks in West Hounslow, after submitting the planning application in March 2021.
This marks the groups’ fifth and largest deal with the Ministry of Defence, with the project having an estimated gross development value of around £600mln.
Development plans for the site, which has public transport links to Heathrow Airport and Central London, show low-cost housing will be built, 10.6 acres of open space provided and 14 grade II listed buildings will be retained.
Interim chief executive Nish Malde said: "The historical significance, location and scale of the Cavalry Barracks make this an exceptional brownfield site and we are delighted to have worked with the London Borough of Hounslow to have secured a resolution to grant planning permission on behalf of the project's investor.”
