UK Oil & Gas PLC (AIM:UKOG) has welcomed a High Court ruling upholding planning consent for a conventional gas and hydrogen feedstock project at Loxley in Surrey.
Legal challenges by Protect Dunsfold and Waverley Borough Council were rejected by Mrs Justice Lang as “unarguable”.
“Loxley planning consent therefore remains in full force and the company's plans to implement the project remain unchanged,” UKOG said in a statement.
In June, Stuart Andrew, the Minister for Housing, overturned Surrey County Council's refusal of planning consent.
UKOG wants to supply gas from Loxley as feedstock for reformation into hydrogen.
Further challenges are expected, said the company, but it will continue 'rigorously' to defend its position in any subsequent action as and when it may occur.
