Bidstack appoints new COO as part of US strategic push

On the appointment of Camila Franklin, Lisa Hau, who is moving to become the company's strategy director, said: "Attracting talent of her calibre is a testament to Bidstack's leading position in the market"

Bidstack Group PLC (AIM:BIDS, OTC:FTBGF) has poached a new chief operating officer (COO) from AdColony, one of the largest gaming monetisation platforms in the world, as it accelerates its US growth strategy.

The in-game advertising and video game monetisation platform said current COO Lisa Hau will now focus more on strategy and corporate development as chief strategy officer, remaining on the board.

New COO Camila Franklin brings more than two decades of gaming experience to Bidstack, most recently at AdColony, where she helped steer the business to a successful US$400mln exit in 2021 and worked with Jude O'Connor, who was announced as the group's new chief revenue officer last month.

Bidstack noted that she has led engineering, product, operations, and client-facing teams throughout her career, and is “well-versed in managing complex cross-platform interactions and relations with clients, end-users, internal team members, and external partners”.

In a statement, Hau said: “We are very excited to have someone with Camila's experience and proven track record. Attracting talent of her calibre is a testament to Bidstack's leading position in the market.

“Her background in the sector, and her operational experience, will be key to driving the company's next phase of growth, in particular US expansion."

To this end the company launched a £10mln equity fundraise last week to fund the development of new software and support working capital as it progresses its product strategy, R&D and commercial growth.

Franklin’s previous leadership roles across the US and Latin America included Blaze, Navio Systems, Tira Wireless, Device Anywhere, Antenna Software, and Moovweb.
