Vyant Bio (NASDAQ:VYNT) chief scientific officer Dr Robert Fremeau takes Proactive's Stephen Gunnion through the programs he's helping to develop using the company's human cell-based microBrain and computer modeling platform, AnalytiX.
Fremeau explains that Vyant is using the platform to identify compounds to target diseases like Rett Syndrome, CDKL5 Deficiency Disorder, and Parkinson’s disease.
Fremeau led a round-table discussion focused on best practices for identifying novel targets at hubXchange’s recent West Coast CNS Therapeutics Xchange 2022.
He says combining phenotypic screening as well as a target-based approach can lead to the identification of therapeutic candidates in the earlier stages of a drug discovery program.
