Allup Silica Ltd (ASX:APS) chair Andrew Haythorpe is back in the Proactive studio after the company’s metallurgical test-work program delivered high-grade, low-iron silica sands. The company recently tweaked its process circuit in a bid to improve overall silica recovery and decrease iron oxide impurities. Haythorpe said that work has paid dividends, generating a product that’s ripe for use in the solar panel industry. But the work doesn’t stop here — Allup promises to continue test-work, which could lead to new commercial opportunities.
