Zamaz, the London-based international e-commerce and retail technology business, has acquired a 70% stake in Eccellenze through its subsidiary Bella Dispensa.
The Italian luxury food business, which has a retail store located on Milan's prestigious Corso Venezia, was acquired for a consideration of €410,000 (£400,000), with a three-year option to acquire the remaining 30% of Eccellenze for an additional €240,000 in shares.
The deal marks the second acquisition for Zamaz since successfully listing on London’s main market this September.
Zamaz’s chief executive officer Chris Hill said: "This second acquisition, within just a few weeks of our listing and again using our shares as currency, further demonstrates Zamaz's key strategic objective of scaling small and medium-sized quality consumer brands which are ecologically produced and ethically sourced.
“We have an exciting opportunity to capitalise on the burgeoning adoption of e-commerce with the addition of another premium brand to our growing portfolio."
